Welcome to Rock River Valley Pantry. We are a community based organization founded in 1973. We are citizens who understand there is hunger in our community. We are citizens, like you, who can't accept that people in Rockford, whole families, go to bed hungry. Every year, we collect and supplement, sort and bag food to provide nearly 200,000 balanced meals. Each food bag contains six meals for each person in the family, when they need it most. Empty Bowls, Full Glasses-October 11, 2008 New date! New location! New flavor! Join us for this very unique evening at Anderson Japanese Gardens on Saturday evening from 6-10pm. This annual benefit is a wine tasting gourmet dinner in which artwork of local artist is showcased and auctioned. The art features “empty bowls” interpreted by the artist, emphasizing the need within our community to fight hunger.
